What bristle firmness should I use?
Dentists recommend (truly, we asked them!) a soft bristle best for removing plaque and debris from your teeth and to prevent damage to your gums, root surface, and protective tooth enamel. However, we also supply medium bristles for those who need a little more oomf.
How long should I use my big little brush for?
Your brush should only be used for 12 weeks or until you notice the bristles becoming frayed (don’t go too hard soldier, you’ll hurt your precious gums!). That’s the beauty of our 4 pack of brushes, you’ll be good to go for a 12 months.
The bamboo handle is slightly changing colour, is this ok?
Yes, it’s 100% safe and normal if you see the bamboo lighten slightly. It’s a natural material (vs. plastic) and therefore you may see a slight change in its colour
As the bamboo ages, if it feels dry on your skin try running it under the tap to wet completely.
So you said these brushes are biodegradable, what do I do with them when they’ve finished?
They certainly are! But first, you need to chop off the bristles and dispose of them in the bin, as Nylon 4 won’t decompose in normal compost. Then throw the handle in your compost or bury it in the garden.
